Privacy Policy

Effective date:

The short version

  • We collect very little: your email if you subscribe, standard server logs and, only if you accept cookies, Microsoft Clarity analytics and Meta Pixel data on sponsored pages.
  • We don't sell your personal information. The Meta Pixel on sponsored pages may count as "sharing" under California law, and you can opt out.
  • Our providers are beehiiv (email), Microsoft (Clarity analytics), Meta (ad measurement) and Hostinger (hosting).
  • To access or delete your data, email contact@toppicksupplements.com.

Who we are

TopPick Supplements (“we”, “us”, “our”) is an independent online publication available at toppicksupplements.com. The publisher is based in the United Kingdom and is responsible (the “controller”) for the personal information described here. Contact us at contact@toppicksupplements.com.

  • Newsletter. Your email address and the topic and page you signed up from, to send the newsletter. Basis: consent. Unsubscribe from any email.
  • Basic analytics. Aggregate traffic statistics (pages viewed, referring sites) that our host derives from server logs, without cookies. Basis: legitimate interests.
  • Microsoft Clarity, only if you accept cookies. Records how you use each page (clicks, scrolling, mouse movement), your browser and device, and a cookie ID, so we can see what works and fix what doesn’t. It hides what you type into forms. Basis: consent.
  • Meta Pixel, sponsored pages only, only if you accept cookies. Sends Meta the page you visited, your IP address, browser details and a cookie ID so we can measure our ads. Basis: consent.

You can withdraw consent at any time in the cookie settings.

  • Server and security logs. IP address, browser, page and time, kept by our host to deliver the site and block abuse. Our signup form keeps a one-way hash of your IP address for about 10 minutes to stop spam. Basis: legitimate interests (security).
  • Emails you send us. Your address and message, so we can reply. Basis: legitimate interests.

Retailers you reach through our links may set their own cookies.

Who processes it for us

We never give your email address to advertisers.

How long we keep it

  • Newsletter: until you unsubscribe, then removed within 30 days.
  • Signup rate-limit hash: about 10 minutes.
  • Server logs: for the limited period Hostinger keeps them.
  • Emails to us: up to 24 months.
  • Clarity and Pixel data: under Microsoft’s and Meta’s own retention rules.

International transfers

beehiiv, Microsoft and Meta process data in the United States. These transfers rely on safeguards recognized under UK law, set out in each provider’s data processing terms.

Your rights under UK GDPR

You can ask to access, correct or delete your data, restrict or object to its use, or receive a portable copy, and you can withdraw consent at any time. Email us; we reply within one month. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

Your California privacy rights

If you live in California, the CCPA (as amended by the CPRA) gives you the right to know, access, correct and delete your personal information, and to opt out of its “sale” or “sharing”, without being treated differently.

We do not sell personal information. But the Meta Pixel on sponsored pages may count as “sharing” for targeted advertising: it involves identifiers (IP address, cookie IDs) and pages visited. To opt out:

  1. Choose “Reject” in the cookie banner or in the settings below. The Pixel and Clarity then never load in this browser, and we delete their cookies.
  2. Turn on Global Privacy Control in your browser; we honor it.
  3. Adjust Meta’s own settings in Accounts Center → Ad preferences.
  4. Block third-party cookies, or use optout.aboutads.info.

For other requests, email us. We’ll verify your identity first. An authorized agent may request on your behalf with your signed permission.

Children

This site isn’t directed to anyone under 16, and we don’t knowingly collect their data. If a child has given us data, email us and we’ll delete it.

Changes to this policy

We update the effective date above whenever this policy changes, and email subscribers about material changes before they take effect.
